I am busy with artwork on a jazz theme. The idea is to illustrate an
instrumental "duel" where one musician plays a short pice and the other one
echoe's the first one and so on.

Jazz-Duel.jpg was the first idea but it has evolved into Jazz-City.jpg so I
think this will be two artworks in the end. The first one has a more
abstract atmosphere where the second is of street musicians.

I am thinking of throwing in a couple of dustbins in the background and
Istill have to ad some flames in the "tonka""on the right.

Comments and help welcome.

Oh yes and I was wondering if anyone could let me use a better model of a
sax as I don't have enough clear pictures of saxophones - it can get very
confusing!

It would be nice if Stephen could let me use his "Sexy Sax" from the IRTC
music round =)

Hey that's great!
Very punchy and dynamic poses
I like both. Jazz-Duel has a "Art-deco" style, I think.
For Jazz-City, you could add a saxophone case (or maybe something smaller)
with some coins thrown into and around, a torn poster on the wall...

Talking of intruments, the machine-heads of the upright bass are missing
some pieces (pegs and gears) aren't they?

Thanks. I didn't think about the sax case that's a good idea. I'll have to
look for a pic.

Yes. Importing full detailled models into Poser made it very slow. I'll have
to do the instruments and the figures seperately.

I'm not happy with the shoulders on the suit and trenchcoat - I'm not surte
how to fix that up.

Yes, that's what happened to me when I modelled it. So, some of it is
actually just 'made up' as best as I could see.

"So you wanna mya sexy saxa, eh?" ;)

Are you sure? It looks good, but it would never play, and a saxophonist
would probably trample on it. ;)

Yeah, sure, no problem. How do you want it? Are you using Wings? If
so, it might be better to just pass the .wings file to you as that's only
3.86Mb's, whereas the actual models themselves (as OBJ files) are around
8+Mb's, (which still might be slow if you're importing them into Poser).

       Great images though, Nekar.

I can't play sax, so it's fine for me!

I don't use wings. I tried it once but I got stuck exporting to Pov. I'll
have to go for the 8 Mb files and do the Poser stuff seperately.

Maybe I could try both. Could you upload it somewhere for me to download?
I'm not sure what g-mail's limits are for e-mails.

Looks cool... but I doubt whether it would also sound that cool, as I
just can't spot Jimmy Smith on his Hammond B-3!

Thank you. Now you're gonna see how bad my modelling really is! :)

Done. I keep forgetting about zipping something up, (Duh!), so it's only
2.99Mb's, but I'd forgotten that the main pieces when combined together are
9+Mb's, not 8. Oh well...
