Very good!!! The islands are the trees and they are flaying with clouds on
the roots, very original.

Fantastic idea as I said before.

I'd try and put a longer trunk on that tree in the right forground, at first
glance you cant see its a tree as opposed to a bush. With photos and images
like these, first glance is important.

Cool Image!

Generally for all the trees I'd move the clouds a bit downwards compared to
the trees, in order to make the trunks more visible, and the roots at the
bottom just slightly less visible. It's just my opinion of course.

Other than that, great image!

Can you explain me, Josh, what's the meaning of "Cool Image".
1.- I think cool is a place or a object... where the temperature is fall.
2.- Keeps one's cool, lose one's cool, cool it. I also know this other
meanings.

Thanks,
Oleguer

Thanks for the feedback.

I have to acknowledge that the length of the trunk is a bit short. I'll
try to get that improved. The four islands are essentially the same tree
on the same cloud drifting in the sky. Translation and rotation do the
trick.
Anyway, it took a long time to get it just right. Initially, all the
leaves had the same color (this appeared to be due to shadows) and
there were dark streaks on the clouds. Rendering took forever. Last
night I moved the sun a bit more downwards. That reduced the rendering
time to just over 4 hours and improved the general quality of the
picture. When I get a satisfactory scene I'll turn on +A0.3 and make a
desktop sized image.

Beautiful work! I like your ideas. I also would
like to see more trunk, but I really like seeing
the roots coming out. Could use a little more
difference in each tree and the clouds seem
a little too dense. Great job!

Hehe, I thought the clouds weren't dense enough. ;-) IMHO you can see
too much of the roots that are inside the clouds. I would prefer a much
denser cloud where you can just see the root coming out and just a bit
into the cloud. Ah well, can't satify everybody.
