Hi all

I know its not much to look at, but I just wanted some C&C as this will
(hopefully (if I ever finish it)) be part of larger scene.

It only uses basic techniques, but I seem to have spent ages on it...

Through patience comes the best stuff! :-)
I really like the lipstick idea on the cup.
If you add another shadowless light, perhaps coming from the left, indigo
(0.4, 0.6, 0.8), it might add a lot of depth. Also, area_light on the
light_source will add a lot of realism too. Plus, even a slight bit of
reflectivity on the table and a smattering of specular. Cool image!

Some really nice touches in this -- I like the lipstick and the 'hot' mark
on the surface. I look forward to seeing the finished scene!

Cheers,
Ian

someone has a wide mouth and very dark lipstick :-)

ok

how about abit of dried up coffee?? above lipstick - slurp type??

query - lip of cup, ie up outside, across, down inside seems rather
angular, either a curve or more pointed to a thinner rim ?

query - handle joint to cup, seems to dimple in, handles don't do that,
or at least handles in china don't, seem in plastic istr

Thanks for the suggestions, but this will only be a small part of the final
scene, the finished article will probably have all of the above though. :)

Yes I suppose they do - i'm off to tweak those settings

Ah, now there's an idea...

There is a scaled torus on the top but maybe some tweakage is required.

It's the shadow from the handle on the mug - an unfortunate occurrence from
the camera angle

Thanks!
