Why didn't +C work ?

Once, I was very happy to have finished a 12-day render. I was so happy, in
fact, that I hit the "run" button by mistake, which instantly replaced the
file by a new one, restarting the 12-day render.

Oh poor you :-/
It happened to me as well.
Now before trying continue trace, I always save the partially rendered image
after renaming it.
If continue fails, I use +sr to make a manual continue.
Then I paste partial images together.

Because the image up 'til when I stopped it got trashed,
thusly (sorry for the .png, but if you can save it so it
can actually be continued I'd be in your debt)

What the heck...this displays ok in Paint Shop, but not
in anything else...? What do I need to do to it to make
POV display it properly?

Strip out the alpha channel, or maybe invert it. (Currently,
everything is completely transparent, except for the windows.)

Tried inverting the alpha channel, and POV wasted 45 minutes
generating photons before deciding that no, there is in fact
nothing in the image left to render.

Try to render it with +SR379 in BMP and then paste the pieces together ? The
image rendered so far is OK so there shouldn't be any problem.

Don't know what you may be able to make of this, but it displayed fine when
I viewed it last night in Netscape 4.7, but doesn't display today when
viewing it in I.E.6. (And looked like some major improvements over your
previously posted versions, can't wait to see the final!)

And as a possibly entirely unrelated note, I was viewing some stuff in the
Poserforum gallery yesterday in I.E., no problem, but when I viewed it in
Netscape several images wouldn't display. A little checking showed that
all of the images that wouldn't display were rendered in Vue de Esprit.

Different image libraries???
