The trees look like a sponge painting - using a coarse sponge to place
the paint. Very effective, and looks like a useful idea.

Can we have a few bubbles in the glass, pretty please? It doesn't look
right at the moment.

Overall, the eye _does_ seem to connect between the waterfall and the
glass.

One of the reasons water doesn't look right is a stream in freefall gets
narrower as it drops (constant flux and increasing speed means diminishing
cross section). Also, there would be more turbulence around the stream.
Finally, I think a half filled glass would look better since you can show
off more dynamism with the surface (as it is, that much water falling from
that distance should be splashing outside the glass). Nice work overall.

Thank you! I hadn't thought of that at all. I agree with your other points too,
and I'm going to try to rework the water to look more realistic.

Yeah, it has a certain something. I'm currently playing with the colours to help
them fit into the scene.

I plan on adding bubbles if I get time. Though the ones on the surface might be
difficult to do. It does look unnaturally clear without them.

Cool, I'm glad of that :)

Right, this is a test render of my attempt at improving the pouring water. I've
also tweaked various other bits and pieces, particularly the water materials.

I think it looks a lot better, but does it look realistic yet? Or should I put
more work into it?

Yeah, I think it looks a lot better! I wouldn't really know what
else to do to make it even better, so I think it's pretty close. The
hand looks better too. Nice. Looking forward to the finished job. :)

Yes, getting better. I thought the hand was from an image until I
realised you could see the finger tips.

You could put some bubbles in the glass under the stream of liquid from
the bottle, as I don't think you'd ever get a pour of that sort of flow
rate without bubbles being forced into the target container.

And if that didn't make sense, then blame the fact that my brain is
drowning in snot...

:)

Jamie.

Yup, bubbles are on my todo list.

Do a render then Tek! You've got the 'flowing' part sorted out...
:oO

     Hehe... ;)
