In your texture, every drop produce only one ripple, but in real life it's
many ripples. The first one is strongest, after the drop hits the water
surface, then, there are new ripples but they fade out.
Good luck,
Hugo

The larger ripples experience too much interference with the smaller
ripples. The small ripples should tend to ride atop the large ones.

Needs a splash in the middle of the smaller ripples. More ripples per
ring. The water should be stirred up more, not so smooth. The small
ripples look too strong, maybe the larger ripples too, but that might be
the lack of more agitation in the water.

Make me think of an Escher drawing... see it at:
http://www.worldofescher.com/gallery/ThreeWorlds.html
And if you like, complete Escher gallery at:
http://www.worldofescher.com/gallery/
Btw, it is a very nice start you got there!

I've added more ripples to the smaller ones and they look more realistic
now. Thanks

Good point. I've added more ripples to the smaller sets. It's a little
better now.

This effect may be diminished in the next version, perhaps... Thanks

I've thought of the splash thing, too. Maybe I'll try to do that somehow,
even if just by adding a sphere of water over the real tiny ripples =)
I'm also adding a wrinkles pattern to turbulate the water in general.

I thought of that also as I was making this =) I don't think I'll be heading
in quite the same direction with it, but it's neat that you mentioned that.
I'm also an Escher fan; I've attempted modelling one or two of his other
works in the past.
