Take care, it's summer, the sun is shining, the sky is blue, the beach is
close, the nights are fiesta (if I were in Valencia... )

Well, maybe with a REALLY BIG effort...

Too beatiful. If I saw a scene like this in real life those propably
wouldn't be the words I'd say.
Forget virtual reality, experience Jaime's POV reality.

After tinkering with POV-Ray almost a third of my life I want to slap myself
for not being able to create even one texture of that quality.

I wouldn't have noticed that 2 apples really seem to intersect if I hadn't
read Warp's post.

Really nice textures. Pew... To me, apples are a bit too bright and miss a
couple of bumps, especially compared to the scale as one would suppose they
have been stored in a dusty old grocery store. How did you do the texturing
of the scale ? Is that a layered texture ? (I am a newbie at POV and it
looks amazing)

Great picture !

Sylvain

Here is the second WIP. I corrected the offending apple detected by Warp,
scaling it down a bit. Sylvain, the textures for the metals are all based
on my "bolts" texture (very little normals averaged, plus focal_blur), with
some rust/dirt layers on top. Now I need ideas for some interesting
environment...

Indeed, I just discovered that there is a picture from Francisco Rivero
with a very similar compostion (the rest of the gallery is worth a visit):

  http://www.netwiz.net/~rivero/english/cuadros/galeria/1.html

Surely, I've seen that one on the past, because it poped up on my mind
too quickly... :)

Oops! It's *Fernando* Rivero, not Francisco... sorry. A master in any
case, and still alive I think (but not in active, it seems).

If it is a "dusty old grocery store" as Sylvain said, there you got your
answer.

apples are going to be bought... maybe a box containing coins in order (for
the changes) or an old cash register, or some paper and a pencil (to keep
track of the sales)...
Anyway, this is getting better and better, go on Jaime.

P.S.: Thank you for the Rivero's link. Beautiful still images.

This is a fantastic image- the only thing that stood out to me right away
(and is easily corrected) is that your scale weights should be rotated at random
angles on the Y axis, because I saw immediately that they have the same
verdigris pattern on them. This would cover that very minor flaw.
Otherwise, I would be crying "photo!"

Cheers!

Jaime, everything is stunning but the wall in the back looks pasted or
at least computer-generated. Change that and you have a true photo.

I don't know how much his paintings sell for but it seems that he's sold
hundreds over the last 20 years or so, he's probably a millionair by now.
