There is actually going to be a Octangonal picnic bench in the middle, so
the safety railing is kind of impractical. I like the pipe idea, but doing
the whole support structure in pipe would I think, ruin the kind of setting
I'm aiming for, but I do like the idea of using pipes to support the
midpoint of the longer pipe. As for the pipe flanges, I just havn't got
around to it yet, but it's one of the finer details I plan on adding later.
As for the supports under the deck, your right, they do seem a bt small to
support the weight, I'll have to fiz that.
thanks

I think you are assuming the corner supports are made from wood, in
which case your statement would make perfect sense, and I would be in
total agreement with it. However, what if those white columns are
actually meant to be reinforced concrete? He can have a "post" as
large and sturdy as he wants, in that case.

Bill is right, there going to be wood, however considering those posts are
going to be POV brand wood, I can get them in any shape and size. Not only
that but POV brand wood dosen't fade in the sun.
