Lamarckian. And yes, I'd have to say it would be.

I don't know a lot about snow (but I will soon find out), but does one
shuffle one's feet in it? I would think one would step over it and leave
individual foot prints unless it is mid-calf deep or so.

I've never seen snow, but the piles in front of the door look like what I
have seen on television.
With the scene this far along and plenty of time to work on lighting, I'm
sure this will be very impressive by the end of the month.

ps. Thank you for your reply in pov.general

Slightly too heavy, and the kid would have had to shuffle along the
whole way to make the trail look like that. more realistic would be
individual footprints about a foot or so apart.

    If you're a child you do... ;)

Yes, you tend to lift your feet, and certainly as it gets deeper.

Tom: Looks great, but lower it a little? I would go for more individual
footsteps myself as the depth of snow that she's standing in is minimal, or
lower her....?

Yes, looks like he/she's been shuffeling it's feet.

You'll need rabit footprints too.

But not is you're a child wearing shoes like that, if you had wellies on
yes, but every child knows that there's nothing worse than getting your
feet wet in the snow.

And hoofprints, of course.

Also the wardrobe didn't exist in Narnia as such, just a hole into
the Earth wardrobe. (Otherwise they'd've been wondering what a
wardrobe was doing setting in the middle of a forest, not just a
lightpost)
