I wish I had such a bathroom !

Nice light setting and modelling.

The mirror needs something to
reflect and the edges of the bath
tub should be rounded somewhat.

And where is the soap ?!?

It looks good, but I think that it'd be worth putting in some area lights to
get rid of those very black and hard shadows, if you can do that the
image would improve 100 percent.

uhm, light was done quick and dirty just to see something. I concentrated on
modelling these days since It was the reason for the pic.
The problem was that there was a set of elements I could buy, all different
in size and function and I had no clue what fits best. My bathroom is quite
small so everything has to fit exactly.
I got this sheet with details sizes and illustrations on it so I decided to
model it in POV. I am glad that I did that since the board above the sink
(on the lower end of the mirror) was too large! Using POV I figured out that
a very unfortunate shadow falls onto the sink and the water pipe if I use it
as it is. Additionally some variations of the arrangement gave finally a
good result. Some additional tests according to the lights on the ceiling
(no visible here) brought me to the decision to rebuild the ceiling
decoration together with new (integrated) light spots.

fits perfectly. The guy who took my order was quite confused: I gave him a
colour-printout of this picture to tell him which elements have to be
ordered *lol*

As mentioned, the tub is just a placeholder. The interior wasn't of
interest, just its major extents. Same thing for the sink.

> And where is the soap ?!?

Soap and towles are in the gap to the right between sink and tub. In
reality, not on the picture, of course ;-)

Hm. I could, of course. But since the scene is of no use anymore it doesn't
really make sense, does it?
A lot of things could be optimised. The bath tub, the sink, the tiles . . .
.
As mentioned: quick work, just for design studies :-)

There are some detais still missing (like rounding the edges) but apart
from that it already looks good.

I suppose you also plan to put one of those ferns in there...

BTW, does that room have a window?

A lot of things aren't done but it was never intended to do so. See also my
answer to Tor Olav.

> I suppose you also plan to put one of those ferns in there...

*g* no I don't. But in fact, there was once a fern in this room. It was on
the top of the rightmost board. :-) But this picture dosn't have to do
anything with the fern.

> BTW, does that room have a window?

Yes, a very small one in the right wall. It almost exactly starts where the
picture ends to the right. The entry ist left hand side. Why do you ask?
There is one serious discrepance between the model and the real thing: the
gap on the left side to the wall. This gap is real but it's width is 1cm on
the floor and approx 3cm on the upper end. The wall has more than 90 degrees
to the floor.... well the house is 50 years old.

I think it would look nice with sunlight coming through a window, of
course this would have to be reasonably large, but you don't have to
follow reality that closely. Maybe you find the look with a large window
very appealing and decide to add a larger window to the real bathroom...
