Uh, oh yeah! I'd forgotten all about the inside function :-) Guess I'd
better keep reading the helpfile...

I've posted the scenefile in p.b.s-f so if you like you can render it. I
would be
interested in the outcome.(2 months later...) =]

I've posted the .pov-file in p.b.s-f

Okay :-)

I'll have to give it a go after my new computer arrives (I can't wait I
can't wait). Mind if I post the result here when (if) it gets done? ;-)

Cool, reminds me of those things with a bunch of pins where you can
stick something behind it and make a relief. It might be interesting to
rotate the cube lattice relative to the object you're sampling; as is
they're oriented the same way.

Yes, an animation would be cool, but i think that rendering and of course
parsing-time will be awful ...

Yeah, I had this idea, too : )

I've made a pic where the orientation of the mosaic is rotated while
the object is unchanged. I used a rotated version of the object for the
Mosaic and rotated it back after mosaic. Perhaps I'll do an animation
in the near future, but the parsetime is quite long, even with this few
cubes. (Parsetime was about 4 minutes).

Here's the pic:

An animation would be great, but will take a wile ...
Keep on rendering, this looks cool ...

My computer finally finished the animation. It consists of
80 frames. Each took about 15 min to render. I hope you
like it : )
You can d/l the file in p.b.a

Cool, it looks springy or under torsion. The corner at top left in the
pic looks like a scroll decoration too.
