POV-Ray on the brain... Actually, that conjures up an awful gory image, this
X-ray I like :-) Maybe this is a vision of a future with ray trace
implants, in which case there's still a little room for a larger enhanced
cyborging logo in there.

As an admirer of your work, that's quite a compliment. Thank you!

Believe it or not, you helped.

Well first I didn't model anything. This was just a texture study, and yes it
was a slope pattern. I used focal blur with 0.5 aperature to create the softness
like I seem to see in real X-rays prints, a fine granite normal to help the blur
hide some mesh deficiencies, and a contrast sphere from your woodcut.pov to
enhance the glow effect (except I just used transmit 2.5) :D

Thank you! Glad you enjoy it.

Ray tracing at the speed of thought. oooooh!

I seldom finish and entry for the IRTC because I spend a lot of time
experimenting. And now, just as I have this out of my system and a workable idea
for the current round, you drop this idea in my lap. I suddenly have an urge to
figure out how to do an isosurface brain. Thanks a lot Bob. :D

It hurts the mind to think of that. Go ahead, try it; ray trace
your next scene in your head, first. Output to graph paper. ;)
P.S. you're not allowed to use a calculator <eg>

I think it should be shortened to just:
"You Know You've Been Ray -Tracing Too Long".

LOL, that's a great image. It'd look good if the xray was up on one
of those light panels that doctors use to inspect xrays.
