The Good:

- Amazing modeling! I shudder just to think about the number of hours
that must have gone by working on this image.

The Bad:

- The masts of the "blue" ship pokes through the sail. And the ripples
on the aft sail of said ship do not look very convincing.

And the ugly:

- All you need now, is some mariners and fishermen, and something that
would make the image fit with the theme such as a dragon wrecking havoc
on those poor villagers.

;)

Good: Nice detail. Believable water.

Bad: Hmm... those tower tops look kinda plasticy.

I like the overall fell of the scene. Two comments:
1: Tone down the textures a little. The castle appears too bright.
2: The ships look too much like modern small yachets. (Ships are a
hard subject to do
right, so you might think of looking on the net for some models to
use.)

That castle would be really expensive in real life. The sails' color
looks odd. The tower tops could use more detail like shingles.
Everything looks new. How about making another version with ten years
worth of wear, tear and discoloration?

What if it's a restored castle that is a museum?

Looks like a miniature set. Realisticish, though. :) Needs radiosity and
some media for nice volumetric lighting. :D

Do I remember this as a night scene over a year ago?

It looks stunning, one thing that I would change is that the sale of
the boat is covering the end of the pier so you can't see what's
boing on there, mayeb move the boat closer to the camera so that we can
see the end of that pier. Also the sale on the boat looks too bright
(maybe too much ambient in the texture), compared with the rest of the
scene.

The wooden houses/huts need some work on the windows and doors they all
look solid and all look the same, some should be open maybe some broken or
some different colours or with different coloured blinds behind them etc.

Nope. Entirely new scene as of this month. Components from previous scenes
are being reused.

The only night scene I can think of recently is my Thieve's Maze posted here
awhile back.

Hmmmmm... it's a "good" castle.

They are? I didn't know that... perhaps the yahtyness is due to the white
bottoms... that has been changed. New version coming soon.

But then I wouldn't get to have all this fun. :-)
