Hello, all.

This is my latest and last version and I think it looks OK - think I'll
stick it in my library of useable stuff. This one took about 11 hours to
render (this is a resized image of a larger render). The robot's in there
just to give a sense of scale and the tree was made using Andrew Clinton's
SplineTree macro. I'll post the scene code later today, if anyone wants it.

Bye,
Alan.

The combination of colors looks really nice, just maybe turn down the
ambient finish of the tree's leaves a bit, they look a bit out of place
this way.

i think it would look better if the robot was less active - perhaps slumped
against the tree

I *did* think I having him slouching about, but it occurred to me that most
scenes like this have the protagonist doing just that. Let the bugger work
for his money! He'll never get his hands otherwise! Bwa-ha-haa!

Now that I've looked at again (after coming home from work - bleah!), it
does look a bit bare. I think I'll stick some flowers and rocks in. And
I've thought of something the robot could be doing that falls in line with
the current IRTC stills round. I may just enter this time. Heh heh heh...

BTW, Rick. Your querystrings are a bit on the long side. (Said the actress
to the vicar.)

Bye,
Alan.

I actually like the way the leaves turned out here. But I think I'll do
some experimenting with the alpha channels to get some transparency in
there.

Thanks for the feedback. Always appreciated.

Bye,
Alan.

I don't think Marvin the Paranoid Android was the goal here...

Wow, it is good to see good old Marvin (from the Hitch Hicker's Guide to the
Galaxy) out of his depression!

Everything looks very great, except maybe the base of the tree; Have you
considered putting flowers or longer grass at the base of the tree?

I've posted the source for this version of the scene (without the robot) to
povray.binaries.scene-files.

Thanks for the comments! :O)
