Just the result of an evenings POV-ing.

I like the color variations in the palm fronds. The trunks appeare a
little too dark, and probubly should be less distorted in their
curvature. How did you do the fronds? Very nice modeling.

I feel the color of the trunks could use some work. Excellent otherwise.

Please tell me that those palm trees are not entirely hand-coded. Otherwise
I'm going to have to retire from POV-ing. (OK, maybe I won't retire, but
I'll be jealous!)

Can't help of thinking about post-impressionism and Van Gogh. Or is it
more like pointillism?

Sorry, but they are hand-coded... not by me though :-( They're virtually
unchanged from the TOMTREE.INC file. I wouldn't know where to start...

I should hold my hands up here, and let on that the trees are almost
unchanged from the samples that come from the TOMTREE.INC file. All I
changed was the trunk curvature (which apparently became *too* curved. Damn!
:-) ).
Also, the water is entirely the code of Kevin Ellis.
Didn't do much, did I? At least I'm honest... ;-)

And very nice poving it is too. I'd suggest a greater
contrast between water and rock colour or just make
the portion of rock that's under the water a bit darker
than the dry part.

The TomTree link on the POV-Links page doesn't work anymore. :( Does anybody
know where or if this include file is still available?

Looks very nice. I'm glad someone has found my water useful.
I agree with Steve's comments with making the rocks a bit darker under the
water though.
