I caught the bug in elementary school, you would think I would be over
it by now.

very nice - would be nicer if you posted the source though, and tried to
avoid primary colours - jpeg hates them :)

I just visited your web site David, and I think I understand your
feelings better now. You see yourself as the alpha male when it comes
to polyhedra. "shapes2.inc" isn't good enough for you. I wrote my own
include files, and I plan to one up your dodecahedron snowflake while
you work on your train.

See, I am such a math geek, it doesn't matter if meshpoly.inc actually
serves some useful purpose...

See, I'm on the school math league and we kick ass consistently and
thoroughly! But I cannot claim alpha male of that group.

And I'd like to see you try and one-up my isosurface menger sponge!
Mwuhahahaha! Hmm, I should shut up before you actually do.

Oh well, I still have my hollow Lego dome and my stellations of the
icosahedron.

I just have to get Warp out of the way and my plans will be complete...
(devious plotting)

It's more than Warp if you count people that don't participate in the
newsgroups. You probably already know of these, but both
http://www.physics.orst.edu/~bulatov/polyhedra/index.html
http://www.georgehart.com/pavilion.html have some very impressive Pov
polyhedra. And to think that I once thought of myself as a math geek!

I had both of these bookmarked already. :O

I have already calculated the vertexes of a stellated icosahedron, I could
make one at any time. I was more interested in making macros for spaceframes
and geodesics next though. Where do you go to school?

I'm a junior in high school, so I'm guessing maybe you thought I was college age.

Southwest HS in Minneapolis, in the International Baccalaureate program. Not
going for the IB diploma though.

Now I must give you my customary rant that I should be years ahead in math and
science from my current level. I had algebra, full up through anything covered in
any class called "Algebra I", in sixth grade, then back to pre-algebra in middle
school. (I refuse to call it "junior high", it sounds too academic for the
hellhole it was. Mpls' middle schools suck.)
I should be a year ahead in science IMO, but supposedly I did not pass the AP
exam, don't ask me how their system works. Bored my ass off in "foundations
science" relearning that sound and light travel in waves, what absolute zero is
and how to do a "lab" (if you could really call them that). A complete waste
since how to use lab equipment is the first month of any HS bio class anyway.

Bad news, college has no respect for your high school education, and they will try to
teach you things a third time. High school sucks bad. I went to both public, and
private high schools, private is much better, but still sucks.

Well now most of the source is in the povray.binaries.scene-files, anything
you want to know, just ask.
