I tried to use a flame someone sent me in a previous post
it didnt work too well but its good enough
imo it looks to me too thick to be plastic
as thick plastic looks like frosted stuff

if someone can send me the source for a better flame that would be
greatly appreciated,
if you need to contact me email at lwi### [at] sympaticoca

the texture is

texture {Glass}
interior {I_Glass3}

I know I am flaming monarch but don't flame me :)

BTW, one of the main reasons your orange looks like an apple is that oranges
never pick with a stem and do not have an indented nipple where the stem
connects.

Monarch, please be careful of the size of your posts. You just posed a >900
kb bmp file, which is bad for 2 reasons.

One, lots of people still have dial-up and are stuck downloading a near 1mb
file at .2 kb a second.

Two, tens, maybe hundreds of people try to download your file. Thats closed
to 100 mb of bandwidth on the Povray NG. Pov-Ray has to pay for each mb they
go over their monthly bandwith limit, and that can be extremely expensive --
Im sure you dont want to lose this great resource...

Thanks!

Why do you keep posting such big files? 1219K for a change in camera angle?

Your JPEGs are pretty huge as well. Here are some suggestions.
    #Download infranview or another program which allows you to adjust jpeg
compression.
    #Unless it is important to your scene, render the objects against a
single-color background.
    #For a quickie demonstration pic, leave as little background as possible
in your pic and resize the pic to the smallest size which still shows what
you have done.
    #If you feel that it is necessary to see your pic uncompressed, save it
as a *.png
    #If the pic is much over 200K, post it somewhere on the net and provide
a link.
