I'm trying to recreate a painting by Roger Dean that was used for
the cover of the "Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe" album. This is the
building, I haven't quite figured out how I'm going to do the wings
(for lack of better description). They are supposed to be curved
downward, I thought about using Mr. Colefax's object bender or
maybe Hammapatch but I'd like to see if I can CSG it somehow.
Anyhow they need to be redone...

Interesting building, very ornate. For some reason reminded me of those
whatchamacallit eggs the czars had.

I don't know what it's supposed to be. It looks like Dean was crossing
navaho art with birds(there's another structure with beak shapes)and
maybe an acid trip for good measure. :)

Hi
Try differencing your wing shape with a larger sphere to give a curved
rather than a flat bottom to the wings.

Now if only more architects would design like that we wouldn't have so many
identical boring buildings.

I've seen some photos of real dwellings - well, prototypes - designed by
Dean. All bulbous and blobby and womb-like. Looked kind of fun if you
ignored the '70s decor and haircuts.
Funnily enough I was thinking of doing a Dean the other day - one of those
japanese-style landscapes with dragons.

Reminds me of the line from MST3K: The Movie:
MIKE: They've flown into a Roger Dean album cover!
CROW: They're very much into Yes on this planet.
