This image is rather "different", so I'm very curious what you think of it!
:)

"Different" is an understatement! This is really outstanding, Rune,
quality-wise and because of imagination. That penguin is really going to be
happy to get that mustard! Your choice of colors really adds to this scene;
the bright green icebergs contrast very well with the dark blue water. My
one suggestion is that the smoke seems to make an unnaturally sharp angle
due to the wind - if the wind was blowing that fast at that altitude the
parachute would be blowing toward the left, instead of lazily swinging back
and forth as it appears to be doing. Excellent job, Rune...

Regards,
Dave

Very, very cute!
I like the cartoonish look.
The only thing that seems a bit 'off' is the smoke from the campfire.

It's a funny idea/scene. Is this for your christmas card?

Cheers!

Remco

Thank you all for your comments!

I must confess that I didn't entirely make up this image on my own. It is
based on a handdrawn illustration by professional illustrator Lilian

decided to recreate it as a 3D image.

It was still a lot of work though and of course my version is a bit
different from the original. I can't find the original anywhere on the net,
so I'm not able to direct you to it...

The style is not realistic, not abstract, and not really toonish either, but
merely "childish"; as a child would draw (although in 3D). That's also the
reason for the way the smoke looks.

I have updated my website with a version of this image in a higher
resolution and with a few things in the image improved. Source code is also
available for those interested.
