Looks good, a bit too stiff though.

If you're going to do more images like this, you might add fading to
your light, so we don't have to see that floor pattern extending to
infinity. ^^;

Will this thingy be open-source, so some other clever person can improve on
it later?

The Provot papers deal with self-colision as well. If you don't have them, I
can e-mail them to you.
