No rad, AA 0.5, motion_blur 19,1/64 and still a four hour render.

Check out that water! Kevin Ellis' iso function with my texture (material).

Hmm despite the AA of 0.5 it still looks Aliased to me, also the ocean blurs a
lot in the background. This detracts from the realism of the water a lot! Maybe
it's just the Jpeg compression. I love the work on the plane!!

That looks very nice. I was just wondering what you changed the texture
(material) to?

It's a shame you had to cut out the radiosity, it seems to make the water
look much better in my tests. But I suppose it can be faked by changing the
water (media) color.

I used a texture that animates fairly well. To get better results you will
need to modify the period and range of effect. You can see where I, too,
remarked out the reflection_blur. I attempted to animate your function, too,
but hit some weird noise in my first few attempts. Stil working on that.

Enjoy!

The higher you set aliasing, the better it looks. Trying to blur the motion
of the plane object, in its entirety (I finally merged the objects
correctly), *really* slowed down rendering, so I backed off the aliasing a
tad (with other changes).

Maybe

Noted, but I thought enough realism came through as it was. Upping the
aliasing helps a ton, but jpeg compression didn't help anything.

Thanks! At this range most of the decals are turned off, though. So, there
is more detail then you can see in this image (rivets too, plus the new
cockpit coming along). Instilling motion blur on the overall object detracts
from detail, as well. Oops, I talk about that plane too much! Formation
break is taking most of my time, right now. It's quickly turning into three
separate animations, which will tell a story in sequence. That, or it'll
quickly consume all of my time and drive me insane (shutup Ken) :^)

Oops, your smiley face didn't come through there. ;) LOL

I found where I can speed this up significantly. At some point in the past I
determined reflection_blur worthwhile. I change my mind :) Maybe, I'll turn
it on later.

Just another form of insanity...
