These are really excellent Howard. Are you going to post the animation of the
pilot?

You seem to be developing a unique style and I like your move away from
photrealism for this subject. The chunky look of the fighter is great. Are they
modelled mainly with Blobs?

Impressive! It's amazing to see how far you've come with your cartoon
technique... This type of style works well for the space fighter, amazingly
well, but the general details get lost on the figure and make her look a bit
too abstract (no mouth?). BTW, what method was the body by Iwanaga built
with, CSG, blobs, mesh? I'm assuming in POV...?

You're a true inspiration, keep up the good work.

Here's the finish statement:
finish {ambient .375 diffuse .75 phong 1/2 phong_size 5 metallic brilliance
0}
That'll do a nice manga/anime effect. You'll have to do the Find_Edges
stuff yourself, though.

There is no anim, right now. I'm playing with the idea, though.

Thanks. As a rule of thumb, I try to stay away from blobs. The render
far to slowly for my taste. (Now, I realize that I used blobs extensively
in the past, I will continue to do so in the future. It's just that if
something can be done faster and easier with Spatch than blobs, I'll go
with Spatch.) There's also a lot of plain CSG.

Yah, no mouth. I'm kinda lazy.

Blobs. Renders nice and fast.

Thanks.

As usual, very impressive and non-POVy, but I do have little detail to
comment about: there seems to be some garbage pixels. Are those intentional
or a result of the post_process?

Graci.
Those garbage pixels are a unfortunate side-effect of the find-edges pp
filter. I really wish the Pov programming master (aka Huff) would geta
round to fixing the filter.
Eh. I can work around it.
