What am I meant to do when I get there - all I get is a username and pword
prompt, and anonymous with email address don't seem to work.

Add to his user log so that he can justify his budget?

It's a MOO (Multi User Dungeon Object Oriented). Looks like a
nice one. You can get help by typing 'help' after connecting.
When I looked, there were about 15 ppl in the game.
Wish I had more time for that :((

It's not a web address. It's a telnet URL.
If you're using Windows 9x, choose Start->Run, and then type telnet into
the box. If it doesn't start a telnet window, then you didn't install
telnet, so you need to do so.
Personally, I've wasted far too much of my life on telnet, primarily
through MUD's <grin>
Bye for now,

I used to spend a lot of time in the MUD's... a lot of fun. Not sure why
this one's being advertised in pbi, though.

Yes, povray.off-topic might have been more appropriate. ;-)
