I was writing a macro to create a jet of water (for fountains and stuff) and
I wanted to create a quick test scene where water was shooting downward
(with gravity). So I though, why not a shower. Well, I liked where the
scene was going, so I spent more time and added more details, and here is
the result.

I could have added imperfections like mildew, waterspots, etc... But I
preferred the idealistic shower over a realistic shower. :) Just think of
it as a clean shower just seconds after the water has been turned on. So
there hasn't been enough time for condensation and steam to fill the entire
room.

Render time of about 33 minutes on a PII 450.

Ignore the ugly jpeg artifacts.

I prefer needle spray.

Pretty neat actually, with the steam. I'm curious as to what max trace you
had used, looks like it should have taken over 20. I notice it's not entirely
perfect since there are water drops streaking down the tiles.

Hmm, something like this might make a good demo scene for the
particle_system patch...

I didn't explicitly set a value. I kept the default (whatever it is).

Yeah, it wasn't too hard to add and helped the image a little. :)

The water looks a bit dark, but the rest of the scene is great!

Thanks.

The water is almost totally transparent (rgbf <.95,.95,1,.95>) so it's dark
because of the tiles. If I made the tiles red, the water would be red too.
