Hi,

Though I am still not too happy with this picture (still working on the face, its
cheeks don't look quite right) I decided to post it anyway; I'm in some sort
of creative impasse right now.

And besides the head, I still got to work on some ugly shadows caused by a
pointlight just below the (half) cylinder above the organic thingy (e.g. the
zig-zag on the wall and the bright lane in the middle of the pic)

The head is modeled in sPatch, the *red* wires use Chris Colefax "link" inc,
the rest is CSG. The wall texture is a image map made in PSP 5.

I'd really appreciate some comments; 'cause it's the same as with one of my
previous images (cryo.jpg); I feel there's something missing, but I can't
determine what!

Best regards,

Bas Leerintveld
(the Netherlands)

Oddly enough I got a [X] in place of the bioterm.jpg image here in Outlook
Express. Never seen that happen unless it's a format that can't be read. It
turns out to be Progressive jpg/jfif and it's been known that some newsreaders
have trouble with that.
Seen the image by doing an Open on it instead and it's odd anyhow ;-) Got
that sci-fi magazine cover look to it.

I got an 'X' in OE as well, weird!

nice image tho, but i think it needs something 'more' to fill the scene up a
tad, dunno what tho...

It doesn't display in News Xpress either! I shall be more careful with my
binary posts in the future! Thanks for letting me know!

But anyway, here's the image again, in standard JPEG compression...

Best regards,

Indeed,
maybe add some text to it.

Freaky.

That pinkish panel reminds me of Doom II.

Me neither, but I'll tell you what I think anyway -- the concept seems
very Tranesque to me (and that's a huge compliment! :) ). I like it.

IMO the head looks really good as it is. Kind of reminds me of the Easter Island
statues.
Can't think of any objects to add, but this scene deserves some advanced texture
work to dirty up the surfaces and reinforce the 'industrial' look (if that is
what you are going for).

I think it is excellent. Only suggestion would be to move the
pink panel a little away from the right edge of the image.
Nice compostition. Like the dark empty feel of it. Nice use
of negative space, not too busy.
