From what I've heard, Lucas has decided not to put the film out on dvd for
now. You may have to live with the limits of tape.

Video capture card :-)
Anything less would be bad, such as trying to do photographs of the TV screen
and scan them in later or transfer if using a digital camera. Anyway, just
plain bad idea.
The thing is about such stuff, I mean heck, you can get a whole video card
with video-in for the price of a capture-only type card or device.
Have a look at this for instance: http://www.videoguys.com/vidcap.htm
And then this: http://www7.tomshardware.com/video/99q4/991118/video-in-27.html

The sky seems like an inferno of burning gas.

Nice light setting.

Sound good but i am a poor kid going to school... If i did have a budget anything
near that i would consider a new computer first... Maybe there are studios that
could do that kind of work...?

Seems that sort of service is still an untapped market. I failed to find
anything but a professional place; apparently for existing commercial video
tapes, or so it seemed to be, and the costs were high.

It might be worth going back to the star wars web site and downloading
the trailers they put out. I seem to remember that these included
pictures of the droids, and were reasonably high quality. It's a cheap
solution which may serve your purpose.

Simon.
