I was having trouble sleeping last night, so I started doodling. I came up
with lots of new ideas, two of which were postable. I just made them in
Illustrator a few moments ago. (Forgive me, Bill). ^_^*
The Crusoe-POV logo is very loosely based on the Transmeta Crusoe processor
logo (http://www.crusoe.com/). I was thinking of only adding the "Ray" part
of it when it is above 32x32. What do you think? That way we could zoom in
on the POV part, which is really the center of the logo. (BTW, it didn't
quite come out like I planned it. Maybe I should scan the original and post
it for reference.)
The Love-POV (maybe Heart-POV would be more accurate) isn't really a serious
attempt at a logo, it was just one of those wild ideas that slips into my
head. I've already caught a problem with it anyway. When you make it really
small (icon), you can't see the V clearly. I could make two versions, one
which works best in small size, and another for the larger size. Please give
me some comments anyway.
If you have any ideas or suggestions for improving these or any of my
previous logos (#11 from the competition and the P-R logo from a few days
ago), let me know. Thanks. And good luck to all the other contestants. May
the best logo win! ^_^

I think I'd have to rule the second out. POVers for the most part a little
too macho to accept a logo that so closely resembles a red heart.
The first has possibilities, but I can't say that I like how the POV and the
RAY go together. maybe if you made them a little more similar in style?

Macho nerds... interesting. :)

I just tried to put together something that looked like my doodlings. That's
what came closest, although, actually, in the doodle, the Ray is under the
circle. Do you think that would look better?
BTW, thank you very much for answering. I wish you luck with your logo. It
looks really spiffy. :) If I didn't have one of my own, I'd vote for it.

IMHO I don't really like them. I think a POV logo should be truly representable
in 3D and have some sort of definable area rather than just lines.

The crusoe one is nice.
Funny the number of ideas that may come out of billions (I hardly overdo it) of minds
when a
'challenge' is up.

Glad you like it. I see room for improvement, though.

I don't know how it goes about logo rights, but I guess that we must be
careful not to be too close to an already registered logo.
It would be a shame to face copyright problems.
Nonetheless, the already existing logos are a major source of inspiration,
and there is no harm in getting inspiration.

If you see crusoe.com, you can tell that mine has evolved past it, and
shares very little resemblance with it now.

Yup.

Amen. :)
