Thanks to Ken's tip, I have successfully transitioned to MegaPatch photons.
Here's the scene I wanted to convert, which started my troubles. I wound up
cranking the photon count up to 2000000 to get it right. Nothing innovative,
but I've enjoyed it as my desktop wallpaper (is that an oxymoron?) for some
time now and wanted to keep the code up to date. You'll note the caustics
are quite intense - I used to fry bugs with a magnifying glass when I was a
kid :)...

I'd have to say, that ring looks a little odd to my eyes. Maybe it blends
into the scene too well. to reflective or something. maybe a slight variance
in color would help. but it's a good looking picture anyway. i'm a sucker
for photons.

Whoa! great language knowledge: i didn't think such words were so diffuse. ;)
[Of course if "desktop" word wasn't your PC, it'd be an oxymoron]
And it's an arcane coincidence that just yesterday i have completed my first
trance track
whose title is... "Oxymoron" :))
And here is as attachment the cover i have made for it.
the mp3 will be release this week-end.. or so i hope :PPP

Bye

Does that mean that BlackHole is back? Cool... I can't wait to hear your new
track. Nice image/texture.
