If you stare at it it looks almost to be moving.
Or maybe it's just my monitor worbling. (That wouldn't be caused by having the
subwoofer too close, would it?)

It is beautiful. Kinda makes me think of a butane light exploding in
zero gravity :-)

I wonder if it's just me, but when I glance away from that image and
then glance back, it seems to "flash" in a sence. Like how motion blur
gives the impression of the object jumping out at you.

Very nifty effect.

Cool! My brother's first reaction was "Odd... an exploding hedgehog!"

I see it as strobing or getting slightly larger and smaller. Probably
like that "Can you find the black dot" image that was posted a few days
ago...

Or a virus seen in false colors... (Which explains the
impression of movement :))

If you are talking about the fact that I have a Mac, you should know
that Macs have had the ability to display background images with no 3rd
party software for quite a while now.
Well, it is the wrong size and aspect ratio, but it actually doesn't
look too bad on my secondary monitor. There is some nasty pixellation
visible, though... :-(

I wasn't referring to your having a Mac. I was just saying the I have it as
my desktop image, and I didn't have to imagine it.
