Peter Houston's Blobman.inc v. 4.1 meets my own blobmon.
I could probably spend hours more tweaking the textures, but the value
of this image is largely a joke.......

Well, I don't think there is any debate on which is sexiest. ;)

Can anyone tell me about that black area around the chest? Does this mean my
figure has some "empty" regions inside it, or is this a feature to be expected
from regular refraction?

It is pretty much a by-product of refraction. I see this a lot if I have
a black background in the scene. Also make sure that you have the max
trace level bumped up high enough.
The character on the right has nice blobs by the way.

Perhaps we should coin a new name for them: bloobs?

If the ray gets refracted around enough times, POV will stop calculating
and substitute the background color for the last calculation. You can
raise the number of levels by adjusting max_trace_level, and make the
areas less visible by giving the scene a blue background color. The
fade_color patch in MegaPOV might be helpful too, if you aren't already
using it(it looks like you are using either fade_color or absorbing
media)...

The one about EPS2POV? Yes, in fact I was just searching for more
information about it...why?

I was just wondering, I've been having some e-mail problems lately. I'm glad
you are working on it. Thanks a lot. =)
