It is just a try. I just want to check if you see
some organic cells, like those you can see trought
microscope. What can I do (pov effects) to make the
cells be more like cells?

try a filtered layered texture / texture map / something. it's only way to
add organic look to surfaces, if you're not using image maps.
just vary colors a bit in each layer.
and some normal too?

The cells look good compared to the background. In my microscope, the
background is always textured. Small air bubbles, changes in color, some
specular highlights and maybe a little peice of lint on the lens.

...and add some refraction to them.

Add some more randomness to them...give them a less plain texture for
the outer parts(with little globules and organelles inside) and make it
so they aren't all pointing in the same direction(the black spots all
seem to be on the left side of the nucleus). Add some assorted debris in
their environment, maybe a couple different kinds of cells. Even just
one "misfit" would add interest. The suggestion for refraction was good,
but there doesn't seem much for them to refract. Maybe make a more
prominent cell wall.

I thought of a few or just one splitting cell when i first looked...
I am glad you are considering my idea... =)

make them almost totally transparent, that should do it
