Hi,
here is my first image of a thing modelled in CADdy++ MA. Rendering in POV
with fog and area-light.
The "bell" was modelled by imagination, should look like the one on a very
old LP ...

Not to sound offensive but the colors you have used are hurting my eyes :)

...or on a new CD; two in fact(Tubular Bells II, Tubular Bells III).
The shadows make the bell seem a bit squarish. And the middle of the
bell should be longer with a slight dip in the middle. Also the bell
end on the right should be bent in some...but I got the point, I'm just
being picky :)

The album sold millions of coppies, but I
don't think I've ever spoken to anyone who's
heard it.
May be good to do as it does on the album
cover, make the tube reflective and have an
interesting skysphere to reflect.

Same here.

It would then be nice to compare a POV rendition with the original which
was painted. I am sometimes amazed at the level of realism that
painters can achieve with reflections. You'd almost think they were
running rays in their heads.
