Tsutomu Higo just told me that he uploaded a new section of his POV-ray
site.
This one is dedicated to procedural mesh creation.
http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~nj2t-hg/ilpov22e.htm
Interesting things there, particularly a macro that creates simple
dolphins (see below). The code is available, as always with Tsutomu.
BTW, he seems quite happy to see that the (foreign) traffic on his site
has increased thanks to you (and his site being featured in the Pov
links).

Lovely - his site has some great stuff, but what particularily appeals to me
is the accidental poetry he achieves in the English text. eg.

"POV-Ray is a wonderful freeware. You can see its power in my works. The
software has been cultivated by many persons."

I like it too :-)
Incidentally this may means that Japanese uses the same word for growing plants
and developing software (any Japanese-speaking person to corroborate this wild
hypothesis ?). Or is Japanese technology so advanced that they grow software on
hydroponics ? A totally new meaning for the "seed" function ?

These Japanese guys are definitely hooked on dolphins! First Sorayama
Hajime, now Tsumotu Higo... :)

I like the sphere patterns at the site.
