I like the little house AND the idea of a little village with various sized
little houses - then have an animation of the camera going through the

I think you have added a wonderful tool for the POV-Ray community. Thank you.

As for the details, yes the door seems to wide. Adding windows will help
clarify the scale of the house.

Now all you need is the smoke for a chimney (as you demonstrated earlier) and
a garden, perhaps a fence.... o god... stop me before I trace again!

Looks prett good. About the door: if you're using any sort of real-world
scale, it shouldn't be hard to figure out what some good numbers are. If
not.. perhaps rather than being too short, it's too wide?
