Any chance we can get you to write out a tutorial to working with blobs?
Between you and Howard, we could have ourselves some powerful learning tools
at our disposal.

Absolutely wonderful,
Darcy

Technically, so am I, but I'm nowhere near your class...

I dont actually feel qualified to write a tutorial on blobs. This being my most
ambitious attempt with a blob object, it seems like mostly luck to get the blob
components to cooperate. I have much to learn. I'm sure H.E. Day could provide
more useful tips.

Thanks. :)
Yes quilted normal. I salvaged the headlight from an older project of mine.
Bowing Out!? Say it aint so. Surely I misunderstand you.

Jay,

What did you use to model your pod?

Just POV Text editor.
Lots of tweeking and re-rendering. Much trial and error to figure out the
relationship between components of different sizes, strengths, shapes (scaled,
rotated, & translated spheres), and relationship to one another. Rather
confusing, but very powerful, as demonstrated by H.E. day. I hope I can learn
to gain the kind of control that he has with blobs. The Aqua pod is sort of a
hap-hazzard model. I influenced how it turned out but it really sorta did its
own thing.

Considering that I go to a tiny private school in the middle of nowhere,
you are probably right. :-)

But really, I am not that much of an artist. I mostly do programming and
technical stuff...and there is only one image I have done which I would
consider "finished".(my Caffeine image)

My time in the spotlight was so brief that I was forgotten in only one
day...

My hat's off to Jay. Great work. I wish I could make cartooney things as
well as he does. Anyway, I'm currently working on a Dagobah like planet to
stick my IRIDIA into, but I'm having trouble with the trees and something
called "bounding slabs", that never seem to finish parsing. :(
