Hi,
this is my newest project, a Philishave-Shaver ...
As usal for me, the 3D-data is done in CADdy++ MA (a german CAD-program) and
converted from STL to POV with my STL2POV-converter (available at
http://www.killozap.de).
seen many times before, but this is the first rendering ...
As you can see, the rest of the shaver is in progress. The electric parts
for about 15 years ...

The modeling looks okay, not so the textures. Need a good chrome on those blade
covers, they're so light-gray plastic there. I'm a bit surprised there isn't
obvious polygonal faceting or something from the CAD model, at least not
noticeably.
I could use a electric shaver right about now. I use the Gillette Mach 3 razor,
down to my last blade and haven't shaved in a few days.

Hey, who said women don't use rotary shavers?
But seriously, nice modeling. One issue for me
is that my shaver is flater on the sides of
the triangle shape, your model seems more
curved. Maybe you have a different brand and
it is more curved.

Sold under the name Norelco in the US. Best around if you can up with the
cleaning.

Mine (model 985RX, about 8 years old and the dumbest fuzzy logic ever
conceived) has a completely polished metal top, no plastic at all around the
cutting heads. And just a sliver of the solid metal below the cutting slots is
visible.

The newer ones are major, major improvement in the cutting heads. Break it
as an excuse to buy a new one. And I used to swear by one older than yours. The
1992 model is much better.

OK, i have mentioned that the textures are not ready, but the shaver is now
done completely in the CAD-program. Now i am thinking about a scene which
shows it with the interior electric parts.
The mentioned converter-program STL2POV 2.0 creates smooth triangles and POV
makes a good job rendering these without or with very little facetting.

Nice work, I think the hubs of the heads need to have
a lot of specular, and give it a skysphere or something
so that if they do have specular you can see it.
