A variation of the inside a torus theme... oh, and this one's standard pov
code.

No! You too my idea before I could render it! (polygon-torus) Oh well, on to
something else :-)
So was mine. (Standard POV, that is)

My way around that problem is to only work on subjects that nobody cares about,
then you're reasonably guaranteed to not have someone do it before you get a
chance to finish. Of course, it doesn't make for much applause when you show off
the finished product!

For once I'm not on the receiving end of this phenomena :-) so I know how
frustrating this is. But least I now know it's not a stupid idea.

I was looking at some stuff at mathworld.wolfram.com, that's where I got the
idea to try some mesh curves.

I like the new name... it seems to suggest sacrifice to the POV powers that
may be..

I like this "cartoon drawing" style. How did you do it?

I could tell you it was a painstakingly careful choice of textures and
lighting, but to tell the truth, it just happened like that. When the first
test render finished I thought it had a "cartoon drawing" style to it and I
presume this is due to the pastel colours in the image.

My Friday abstracts/offerings scenes are usually designed in the slow
periods at work on a Friday afternoon. This scene took about 10 minutes to
design (most of that remembering how to use my rotobj macro.) The 3200x2400
version I now have sitting on my hard disk takes 10hrs to render on a PII
266.

P.S.: source is now in p.b.s-f, enjoy

dosnt look like a povray image, very nice :)

(the pov gods are definatly calmed for another week)
