I think it's time to post this...

Somethings you should know (..or just I want to say :-)) :
This is a picture, made with unfinished objects, just for the new year. May be a post
card.

I know that :
- textures are crap, I'm just beginning to look at them ;
- white parts are designed to be either lights (the entrances ways) or windows (all
upper part of dome) ;
- the pipes are really awesome... joke, isn't it ?...
- I have an artefact with lights in the entrance (there is a 'halo' AND the white
point of the light itself) ;
- I have to replace point lights with aera lights ;

- I have big problems with fog : combining ground fog with normal fog ;
- and the road, and the ground... and so on... (do I forget something ?...)

And yes, I'm using H.E.Day's scarring texture (thanks !).

And... Oh ! By the way : a really happy new year and best traces to all of you..

(comments on pic welcome for sure..)

It is a nice design and layout, if you tweak the textures a little it will be even
better.

I suggest that you add a bozo pigment to the windows, as I have found that this will
give
the impression of there being an actual *room* behind the glass. Other than that, you
might want to dirty up the textures a bit...Add another layer or two of scarring! :)

The truck could easily be a train with a few
modifications. The sky coud do with some work,
but looks quite good the way it is. It'd be
good to have lights above that tallest antenna,
maybe say three white and one red on an invisible
thread.

Hi all,
This is the definitive version of my post-card...
... but I continue for sure to work on this Mine Center.

Thank you all for the constructive comments :
- added bozo pigment for white windows ;
- I have to dirty the textures (may be a fistfull of scarring tex 8o))
- I've put some lights on antennas... but in newer version...

In the future, there will be some high crack-tower (?), like those in petrol
industries, with plenty of pipes and lights...

Btw : this pic took 2h 01mn to render on a Dual PII266, 128Mo, NT4... slower than my
current Celeron 300@450...

When you get ready to start construction, give these folks a call.

Well... Looks like either :
- I re-invent the wheel or
- THEY'VE STOLEN MY CONCEPT !!!... :-))

... but they lack the central tower, for the church for example...

Thanks..
