Here's the isosurface version. Not bad, eh? Took about 1:50 to render
on super-low memory settings on a P200MMX.
Code is under a reply to "craters"

Science is merely a method of gathering data and information.
Science *cannot* prove facts.
It can only provide theories that fit given data.
Technology is merely Science applied to common situations.
Technology is used for both good and evil.
Society is a framework mostly dependent on the willing participation of
it
subjects.
Kingdoms and dominions come and go, none are eternal.
In the end, Society, Technology, and Science do not matter. Only the
actions
and choices of the individual will matter. <><

If that's your idea of "not bad" then I am beginning to understand the
reasons behind the quality of your images. This looks as real as those
pieces of rock out there!

What a stunningly realistic piece of rock! I already knew that you can do
anything with POV-Ray, but now the trick is to find out *who* can do it! Now
I know...
Very, very good!

Cool. What kind of pigment was used for the displacement? Was it an image_map?
Was it granite?? I have done this sort of thing using a granite pigment, but
yours seems to have little circles in it.
