Hello all,

Been a long time (month or two) since I last posted anything here. I had
been working on my buggies (the ones with the round, bald tires in the sand
dunes), and the race I mentioned they would be in.

Well, as is usually the case (at least that is what I am told), the small
project of creating two buggies to race around a track, and to animate it
became a HUGE project. Next thing I was doing was making a room to put the
track in. Then a room wasn't a room with out a decent floor, a door way,
and a window to see outside, so I made those. Then there is the outside
that is seen through the window (didn't do much here, but did have to do
something). Then the simply idea of watching the buggies go around the
track turned into trying to figure out how to make the camera come in the
room, focus on the buggies as they race around the track, and then jumping
into them and giving the view from within them as they raced.

Along with that taking so long, my Birthday came, and I was giving a new
program. I hope it ain't taboo to mention it, but I was given Bryce 4. My
brother has it, and I have played around some with the demos, and find it
easier (based on my limited knowledge of POV-Ray and Bryce) in a some ways.

Anyways, I write because I had mentioned this project, and hate to leave it
open ended, even though I will probably not finish it. What is attached are
some "Pictures from Development" (I have resized them all to be 320x240 so
they may look a little jagged). I still look forward to your comments (good
and bad), and will continue to watch this group cause you guys do great
work! Also posted is my "First Creation" using the new program.

Thank,

Colorman

Shame on you! Deposit $20,000 U.S. in the charity of your choice and swear
to repent!

Great images! The animation sounds like a large project and an even larger
file. :)

Is that your first ever image, for real? Wow! Bryce, eh?

Thanks for the reply.

How about $5,000, and some prayers? :)

And yes that was my 3rd (1st without help/tutorial) with Bryce. The first
was a scene following the tutorial, and the second an animation (slick too)
following another tutorial. But the image I attached was just me, and
really it was fairly simple, and wouldn't be real hard in POV except for the
textures - just cause I don't know much about textures.
