With all this flaming against Nick that is going on (although it is so
civilized, that in other groups it wouldn't even be discernable from normal
conversation), I want you all to stop for a minute and ponder the great gift
he gave us:

A new phrase!

From now on, whenever someone tries to fool the group by posting something
he didn't make himself (without giving proper credits) we can all simply
yell: "WOW! WHAT AN AWSEOME ROLEX!"

Like in: "Did you see that last image of xyz, and that AWESOME ROLEX he put
beside that dark wood-texture table?"

I see only one but rather ugly hair in this soup:

It is probably never going to happen again! We are all so damn civilized,
friendly and honest! ;-) I *really* would have liked to use "AWESOME ROLEX"
every now and then... :^)
Can't we have some contest of who manages to pass by the most AWESOME
ROLEXes without the group noticing? (No, No, it was a joke, please don't
start posting phoneys now, because you will *not* win a Rolex, awesome or
otherwise!)

Johannes.

I think it should remain as Nick, the great deciever, originally said it: AWSOME
ROLEX.

Could someone tell me how you spell Rolex? I think I saw Rollex somewhere... is
it geniune or not?

There is one sad thing : The most abusive people on the newsgroup always get the
most of the attention compared to the much more interesting posts. Those
provocative posts should be completely ignored. But as a human being, I can't
help to reply to them. I just 'come back' from a Linux newsgroup and you always
find one of 'them' ( beware they are among us !) anywhere you go.

Anyway after such flaming, I am not sure that the 'Rolex-maker' will come round
again.

That was just a thought.

They are called TROLLS and tend to be all over the net.
As for a flame, I can't really say that this can count as a "heavy" one. I've
seen the ones on both usenet and IRC, and they can go far further in the pursuit
to really destroy the victim. (I've seen a man be faked through his own ISP due
to a flame, and that was only in the beginning) But as the "victim" of this
flame, I take it rather calmly, and I am actually surprised by all the support
(for me) and the reactions in general that came in response. It all shows how
great the POV community is, and why we should strive to improve this good
relationship. A good community, like this, will make a good introduction for the
newcomers to POV.

I say, keep the works coming, keep the posts rolling (I for one really enjoy
opinions. That's why we are here, isn't it?) and the replies in plenitude.

I hope so, but then, I don't think any lurker would really do something like
that, since they'd know enough of the community see the expertise that people
around here are capable of providing.

And a good one.

keep up the work, group.
You are all great, if not for "artistic merit" but for the effort placed in the
work.

Of course it's genuine. Just like your original Adiads, Rebaak and Nice :)
(there are plenty of those around here)

Rollex is the incorrect spelling :) And btw, I think I know what you're
talking about it, and it's actually some weird galactic timer. It's pretty
sweet, too!
