Another musical instrument i made with rhino and POV dont know if it is
really a trumpet.
I think it looks pretty good no background and no source available (
lost it ) but i hope you like it.

ps. my name in the corner was not raytraced and i had no reference pics
when i made this so it's not exacly like any real instrument.

Sorry to say the one thing I don't care for is angular polygonal
structures where a nice sphere, cylinder, or torus could go in 3D
models. Nice trumpet model besides that really, just that I like POV-Ray
for it's good primitives.

I made this image before i fully understood CSG's and their fully potential.
I'm currently trying to remake both of the images that i have posted < piano
the other one > using my curent knowledge of POV i wanted to post these
images for any and all critisisms to help me with the remakes .

Thank You Bob and any one else who posts comments

Your basic design for the trumpet is correct (and looks proportioned
correctly, too). You're missing quite a few details, but I'm sure you
knew that. ;-)

Your brass texture is good, but could be a bit brighter (although maybe
it's the lighting that makes it look too dark).

Oh... one more thing... the lead pipe (going from the mouthpiece to the
first valve) should be thinner (about 1/2 the current diameter). Yes,
I played (still occasionally practice) trumpet.

It's too bad that you lost the source... maybe you can try it again. ;-)
