Here's a picture I made for a business back home. Just thought
I ould throw this out for everyone.
I was NOT happy with the fog at all. I wanted something that resembled
thick rolling fog that parted in places. Similiar to what you see in
the old World war 2 movies. Where it kinda rolls along the ground.
However, I was not able to achieve this effect. Or even anything that
comes close to it. Instead, what you see is a white fog, and lavender
fog. Each with different distance attentuations, and slightly
different heights.
The letters themselves are pure glass with ambient lighting set to give
them a reddish appearance. Rocks are a heightfield with an image map
wrapped around them. The sky itself I really can't take credit for. It
was originally taken from a picture/source that was posted here some
time ago. I altered it slightly though.
Whoever originally created the sky, my hat's off to you. excellent
job!

                                                            Johnny

First impressions are:

So what kind of business is this? Funeral arrangements?

Branding is the new terminology today. You pick a name, an image or
color scheme that corresponds to your business, so when you see golden
arches, you immediately think of the business and the commodity that
business provides.

Your logo does none of these things. It is ominous and foreboding
making me less than anxious to do business with your company. In
addition, it does not imply or indicate anything about the type of
business you are in.

Within the image, you have a set of letters that are so small that they
get lost in the overall image. The letters themselves obviously stand
for something, but even that meaning is lost and not provided in the
image.

I like the atmosphere, but I agree. It isn't a good logo.
