The rain may be done like in a previous irtc image on 'water' there was a
scene of a man going into a house? I think a plane in front of camera with a
spotted texture streched diagonaly and illuminated with a light fading
quick.  just an idea, obviously not getting rain 'into' the scene but might
look okay.

I like them SO much better when they're 3D. :)

I did experiment with lenses, and normals, and a few other things.

I did the original intercept image just to set it up for an animation. I
will have to revisit the Hurri and Heinkel models just a little, and then
I'll be ready to trace. I expect 32 frames to extend over 19 days and then
I'll be the only one that ever sees it. heh

yes, I agree.  I tried 2500 rain drops (spheres and cone with a gradient
texture) and used up over 40 hrs on a P-90 64MB RAM, now have pII-333 256MB RAM
may try again -:)
