A while ago GrimDude posted a nice improvement of
the two color pov icon. (The treat was called
"Pov Icon".)
Strongly inspired I made some icons myself all from
scratch though.

I've attached an iconlibrary with 3 icons.
One for the program (the one with a red frame),
one for .pov files (checkered floor with spheres),
and one for .inc files (only spheres).
I didn't make one for .ini files because
they are used by many other programs also.

The icons should work with only 16 colors, but they
look better with more.

Any comments?

P.S. The icons aren't Disney advertisings ;)

Wow! After that introduction I was looking forward to seeing your work! :)

Unfortunately, for some reason I don't have anyway to view them? :(

Um...

How can one see the icons supposedly inside the .icl file?

For Win95 users, right click on any desktop icon, select properties, then
hit the "change icon" button.

Rename povicons.icl to povicons.dll, then change the icon as others
have described.

Avoids your having to go to needless expense for an icon editor,
especially when Microsoft has a perfectly good free icon editor
somewhere on their site -- search for "imagedit" and also "aniedit"
for their free animated cursor editor).

Oops. I'm gonna have to remember to fix the sig on each message.

Btw, the expense for MicroAngelo or something similar is only
"needless" as I described it before if you only do icons once
in a blue moon like I do. As you may have discovered if you've
found the Microsoft editor -- I couldn't find it myself just
now, but I only spent a couple of minutes -- it's "basically
works but not that nice".
