Hello,
I was following an earlier string about making a "Lightsabre". I got
intrigued and decided to give it a try. Here it is.

I was the fool who wanted to make a lightsaber in pov. The problem is that
without the 'glow' ability from other 3d packages, such as Lightwave and 3d
studio, it can't easily be done. I tried dozens of combinations of media
unsuccessfully. I must admit, you have the handle and the inner blade well
done. Good luck getting the glow.

Yeah, I thought that turned out really good - especially with the dragon! I agree
about the "glow effect" it really does make or break the whole feeling of the
image. The blade in my image is pure media and while I like how it turned out -
still no glow; but I'm working on it. Unfortunately for my sanity I'm hooked to
figurung this out. Thanks for the feed back.

I had no problem getting a glow on this lightsabre. The blade is an
emitting media, however the media itself is far bigger than the blade, which
gives a glow-effect.

Nice! That looks great. I tried the same thing at first with not as good
results. Do you mind sharing the code for your media?

Sorry guys, I no longer have the code. At least I don't find it. I will
search again, and if I don't find it, I'll try to remake it.
It was a combination of a spherical and a cylindrical, but I don't know
exactly how.
At any rate: expect a new, far better (I hope), version here soon.

I look forward to it. I have an improved version in the works as well.
