This one took 1.5 hours. Started it when I got back from work.
Enjoy!

An hour and a half?!

I've been working for over a month on my fighter
(http://www.coyotesdaughter.com/VoidSphinx), and it doesn't look a
/quarter/ this good!

Argh! I think I'll go to bed, now.

Are you using POV-Ray's cheat-codes?

I like the modeling, but I think some of the detailing is a bit overdone
on this one, or it may just be that the surfaces look flat and painted
on. Is it just the camera angle or is the right wing longer and wider
than the left wing?

What'd you use? Height fields, isosurfaces or what? How'd you get those
nice curves? One of my big questions has been how to get nice smooth curves
like you've got.

Really nice image, btw.

Like everybody else in here I admire your abilities for creating those
spacecrafts. Gaining control over the individual features of POV-Ray is
relatively easy, but it is imagination combined with the ability to envision
how to solve a certain problem that makes the difference. That's your
strength, right? :)

For this particular one I would suggest making the seams between the plates
look less painted on. Maybe make the colour of the lines a bit more grey,
and less black. Also maybe use a bump map to simulate the seams. You may
have done so already, but in that case the shading is not visible on the
black lines. Besides that, excellent as always.

BTW, what is the current status of the Desert Eagle?

Please Sir! Would you re-render that ship with a backdrop like

http://www.cosmiclight.com/galleries/images/earthguard.jpg
[ respect paid to Dieter Ludman ]

just so we can see that ship with a realistic environment?

Dennis
