That could be a problem, especially when doing computer graphics...

Do you plan these things in your sleep? Or do you just have a patch lead
hooked up to every member of the family so that you can use their
resources?

I just have povray down pretty well. And, yes. Hand-coded.

| Really superb!!
Graci.

| But..the glow is an atmospheric effect, but in the space,
| there are no air ??
No, a lens or camera effect. Even your eves have them, look a the halo
around light s at night.

:)

| Let me sum it up:
|
| 4 hours for:
| - modelling of wings, body, etc. (spatch ?)
CSG+ Very simple blobs.
| - drawing of the texture maps
Photoshop.
| - modelling additional stuff (guns, etc.)
CSG.
| - put everything together
2 minutes.
| - adding some glows
10 minutes.
| - Building up a nice lighting and camera position
2 minutes.

| You must either be cheating or using some advanced AI reading your

Actually, it *is* an atmospheric effect, similar to the halo you see
around lights in fog. Otherwise, they wouldn't reflect or be visible
behind transparent objects. :-)

I am thinking of a lens flare effect though...it would mostly be like a
glow, but with slightly different behavior and more flare-like features.
Or maybe I'll just do a lens flare post_process filter...that might
allow much more realistic flares.

It is true actually that almost all people have a slight astigmatism which
makes lights have a slight flare effect. This is why we do not always see
stars as perfect dots of light, and also why some people shouldn't have
laser eye surgery (which can greatly exaggerate the effect).

I was not claiming otherwise, but that is not the effect that the glow
patch simulates, though it looks so similar it can be used for that
effect.
