Only because it's you. With anyone else I would have guessed that they
has finished watching Titan A.E. several weeks ago. I like the image,
but I think that the textures are a bit too homogenous.

Yes. Forget everything you saw... except for that really cool scene with the
gazillions of frozen particles/icebergs.

Looks good, nice texturing, glows ?

How did you do the rounding of the edges, all by hand or did you use a
macro ?

Macro, and by hand. SmoothCyl and SmoothCone, respectively.

Heh, heh. This took me about 6 hours to do. I'm still working on it. :)

Yup. Type 2, I believe. How did I get them to disappear behind objects?
Simple. I used a modified version of my flare Blocker include file. You
can find it on p.b.s-f, I think.

BTW, I *am* trying to figure out a way to fix this...the main problem is
that I can't simply check for an object between the glow and the camera,
I will also have to handle transparent and semitransparent objects.

The blocker inc handles this. All you need to do is build a model.
Declare it, remove any objects you don't want to block the glow and plug it
into the inc. Add the other objects later. Tada.

I don't see how it is possible with the information available to scene
files...even with eval_pigment(). How does it handle layered textures?
