I think I've had that happen, and it I think it's usually related to it not
being able to recognize the codec.

I think this is why so many people use VLC.

I think you think correctly.

Ah. Somebody forgot to take his medication. I am sure I did take mine; I
know Stephen did take his, so it must be you :-)

See what I mean? Medication. I am not an ABBA fan either. :-)

I suppose that is why. I could try that one.

...worked. I am finally able to say that the animation looks interesting ;-)

Sweet! May I C64ize and AtariSTize it and re-post it here and on my
YouTube channel
(https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFgDHkMGDuOkiSnc6w6eUWg), of course
crediting you?

As long as I don't need to rewrite my SDL code for the C64 or Atari Version of
POV-Ray, I can't imagine any reason why not. Do what you like as long as you
like what you do!

Thanks! As far as I know, currently there is no POV-Ray for the C64 and
the Atari ST... but programming a scriptable raytracer for these ancient
machines, that might be quite a challenge!

See you in Khyberspace!

Yes, I'm aware of this chapter in the Advanced Tutorial... I currently
work myself through the whole tutoral to learn POV-Ray *systematically*
for the first time in my life... but I have not arrived at "A Raytracer"
yet. Very intriguing!

There also is a quite instructive German Data Becker textbook from the
1980s on programming a raytracer on the Amiga, which I would like to try
out in the more distant future... rather for portation to the Atari ST
or the Commodore 64 than doing it on the Amiga, as re-portating POV-Ray
to the Amiga means carrying coals to Manchester!

By the way, I wonder whether David K. Buck knew of this Data Becker
textbook when programming DKB-Trace back then...

See you in Khyberspace!
